today I grinded MTT's ranging from $0 - $5.50 entries. I was fortunate enough to secure my first "decent" MTT prize of the year, worth $1899.95 for coming first in a $5.40 knockout ( turbo) with 3003 runners. during the tournaments early goings-on I achieved a good, well above average amount of chips, however when it got towards the deeper stages I kept taking a few knocks and one substantial blow to my stack after attempting to steal the blinds and antes from the small blind, led me in the ultimate danger zone - being under 5 BB's with a bit of luck i was right back in the race, and soon enough i was on the final table.
I was in 8th out of 9th place going into the final table. I got lucky with 8 players left getting A8 against A9 in a blind battle and fortunatley hitting an 8 on the flop.
I survived on blinds until I shoved K-Q on the small blind to get called by K-8 and my K-Q held. leaving just 4 remaining. After this hand i shoved A-Q and ran into the BB's Q-Q. Fortunatley I flopped an A. I remained reasonably dominant from then on and took down the event.
